Photos Noel Jones

The Handsome Moon (2017) was inspired by the original score by Ian Sutherland following a residency in Japan. The score explores longing, loneliness and the symbolism of the moon, aspects that have been transferred into the dance work. Performed and co-created by undergraduate and post graduate dancers from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Directed and choreographed by Pauline Brooks (LJMU) and Luke Kahlich (NSU).

Conducted by Kenneth Dempster with musicians from Edinburgh Napier Contemporary Music Ensemble (EDCME).
